The Lion King features over 100 puppets, including rod puppets, shadow puppets and even full size puppets, which took 37,000 thousand hours to build. 

Becoming a woman can be a bit of a drag. Ask star Harvey Fierstein who dons a 25 pound padded foam and silicone suit for each performance of the Tony award-winning smash, Hairspray. And then there’s the six shades of blush, seven shades of eye shadow, liquid eyeliner, two sets of false eyelashes, mascara, lip pencil and lipstick. On days with two performances of Hairspray, poor Harvey has to shave once more in between to prevent Edna Turnblad’s five o’clock shadow from showing.
